Lore .: Why did you choose the name Mecca Hosting?

When starting an international business, it can be very hard to find one name that can be used throughout the world. A name that seems quite acceptable in one country and one language may be offensive in others.

We did a lot of research and found that the name "Mecca", which represents a holy city in Saudi Arabia, was known throughout the world and was associated with a "good" place. Although, the name "Mecca" has religious overtones due to its representation of the holy city, we only chose the name because it is known as a "good" place in most cultures.
