In order to have your own e-mail address, you'll need a couple things. First, you'll need an Internet address (domain), as people will contact you through this address; the domain is the part of the address that comes after the @ symbol. Once you've found and purchased your domain name, you'll need to purchase an e-mail hosting service. Since you will now own your own domain, you can choose any e-mail address that you want; for example, me@mydomain.com, joe@mydomain.com, or sue@mydomain.com (the mydomain.com is the domain name) instead of joe12332@yahoo.com.
